The fifth provision: enough boundaries. My rules Vs Our rules. Chapter 9 (1/3)

Andrew Wake Newsletter, Parenting

Hi to all.

Our love for our children is deeply personal.  But when it comes to unhelpful strong emotions and tricky unwanted behaviours, a business response is often more helpful.  Through the planned implementation of boundaries we can maintain a loving empathetic approach as we go through with the agreed plan.

This first of 3 videos looks at the importance of the boundaries being a shared creation by the family rather than a parental imposition.  In this way, we remove ourselves from the combat that can occur when rules are broken.  The difference we feel when “my rules” as opposed to “our rules” is quite large and this video seeks to explain why and how this may be.
